A Weak Sun 02:30

about

I often write from dreams. Most of them are my subconscious struggling to grip the weight of a careening reality wasted away in service to capitalist ruin. The most recurrent of them began in 2017 with a new planet, by the light of a new, man made sun — a shining symbol for human potential. It has taken years for these images to form and I have been no more than a patient scribe. You, in turn, have seen them in Wytai and The Silence of Day, as you will with Lungs Lined with Moss and more — a comprehensive vision for one of many paths our current path will put us on. It is made with overwhelming hope that we can do better than we are today. Kinder tomorrow than we are today. In every way.

A Future Under a Weak Sun is the first of my forays into the musical side of this. It is out now exclusively on Bandcamp until August, when it will begrudgingly be made available on more exploitative platforms. Please listen, and please hope. Our dreams are under a sun that sustains us in every way. May it always be that way.

about

Niranjan Raghu Bengaluru, India

Writing through alternating episodes looped through a single reel of analog film-mind. This convolution is a reflection of the other–of transient life, opulent decay, soaring architecture. These hallways are an invitation to be resilient, an invitation to be kinder than you were yesterday, but not as kind as you will be tomorrow.

The Hexagon Sun will dawn on us.
